We have already been introduced to some wonderful new neighbors. We saw four white-tailed deer in our backyard woods. They are just beautiful! They are also fast as I could only get a photo of one deer! Today we moved into our new home! We are so excited to make new memories here! And can you believe the house has the Bruins' colors? I spent the day as a volunteer at a hydration station at the Boston Marathon. I was very inspired by the strength and dedication of the runners. What an amazing event! I hope you are having a wonderful vacation. Mrs. Barth I am so thankful today! Thank you for the very sweet gifts! I read every thoughtful note from the children in the memory jar. The kind notes have made me smile all day! Many, many thanks for thinking of me! Some students have been bringing in some bridge projects they have worked on at home! Wow! Very impressive! In class, we made one change to the bridges we are creating by adding 4 addition index cards. (We were so busy, I forgot to take photos!) We are completing our second lab report which includes the steps of the Scientific Method. We had a wonderful time creating bridges today in school. Each child made a hypothesis for which bridge would be the strongest; beam, deep beam or arch. The children then tested their hypothesis by creating bridges and testing their bridge's strength by adding bolts (weight). We will continue with the scientific process next week.
