Today our class joined Mrs. Trottier’s third grade class. Her students created an amazing Opinion Writing Tip Book. The third graders also created “About the Author” video pages. We will use the ideas in the book to help support our opinion pieces.

Today the second grade planted three new trees at Stratton! Generations of students will be able to enjoy the beauty and shade provided by the trees we planted. Our classes also planted marigolds to create a beautiful butterfly garden. Today measured three types of jumps; frog jump, rabbit jump and a kid jump. We measured our jumps with our shoes, paper clips and craft sticks. What a wonderful concert today at Stratton! Bravo second graders! Today our students wrote poems about friendship with students in Mrs. Forse’s class. We had a wonderful Book Tasting today! The children were able to sample books from different series. Ask your child about the books she/he sampled. Many thanks to Dr. Magalhaes for organizing and presenting this awesome project! Stratton is accepting book donations for our annual Book Swap on May 9th. Please send in any children’s books you no longer need by May 9th.
