Staff members planted flowers in a garden at Stratton today to remember our wonderful custodian Mr. Rick who passed away in the fall. Mr. Rick was known to be an expert at lawn and garden care as well as being a fun, happy member of our community.
Many thanks to literacy coach, Dr. Magalhaes, for leading two reading group sessions. We learned new strategies to discuss character traits. The children found specific pieces of evidence in their books to support their ideas.
The Circus Smirkus fun continued today at Stratton! Ask your child about the skills they are learning. Many thanks to Stratton’s PTO for funding this residency for us.
Today’s science focus question: How can rocks be separated by size? Ask your child how we separated river rocks.
Today we had a poetry celebration with Mrs. Doherty’s second grade class. It was wonderful to read such amazing poems!
