I’m enjoying a quiet moment at home. The candle scent has a hint of a summer feel to it. The water bottle keeps refreshments perfectly cold. What a nice relaxing way to start the weekend with the lovely gifts from the class.
The entire second grade is creating a butterfly garden near the gym doors. Our class planted marigold seeds. The children are using the rain barrel to water the plants each day.
I would like to share a sincere thank you to all families in our class. It has been a wonderful week of cards, flowers and so many goodies. Many, many thanks for the class basket of amazing treats and the flowers are gorgeous! Thank you so much!
Many thanks to Melissa Orkin for organizing this amazing African drumming workshop. Thanks to the PTO for funding this for the second graders. We also would like to thank Molly Lyons and Heather Mell for their help with the behind-the-scenes work. Thank you Nathaniel Braddock for setting up and sharing your musical support during the workshop. I have never done this before! It really is as fun as it looks!
Our class visited the third grade science fair to help gain excitement for next year’s project. Wow! These projects were amazing! A big congratulations goes to the third grade students, their parents and teachers!
