During this first attempt to release our butterflies, we noticed that the butterflies were not in a rush to leave the net! Some butterflies even stayed in the net. However, the following week, the butterflies flew out quickly.
All second graders attended a wonderful music presentation. We learned about the "Strings" lessons the children can take starting in third grade through the Arlington Public Schools. This was a cool presentation!
Don't these look beautiful? Many thanks to Mrs. Serafini and Mrs. Ford for sharing their talent and time with our class to create such amazing works of art! The children are so excited to use them! (Additional teacups will be sent home on Friday.)
This is an exciting time in Room 5! Check out our first chrysalis! We are expecting our first Painted Lady butterfly in approximately 7-10 days! Stay tuned!
