June 25th-Last day of school! A reminder that the children will display and answer questions about their WorldFest projects Thursday morning. First the children will introduce themselves and say the name of the country they researched. Then you will be invited to visit all the children at their poster station and ask questions. You are invited to come to the classroom at 8:30. We will head to the cafeteria together around 9:10 to wrap up with a musical presentation from two students in our class and two students in Mrs. Abbott’s class. You are welcome to join us for the presentation.
The children will be doing more formal presentations in class each day. During these they are expected to read their reports to the class and answer questions. Mrs. Newell came to our class for a sun safety lesson. We learned that we should reapply sunscreen every two hours. If you go into the water, reapply afterwards. Wear a protective hat and sunglasses. Wear broad spectrum sunscreen.
Never swim alone. Drink water often. Take breaks often if you’re out in the sun. Play outdoor sports in safe areas. Have a grown up help you get balls that go into the road. Wear life jackets for children when on boats. As part of a Stratton PTO fundraiser, students/parents bid to play kickball against Stratton's faculty and staff. Join us at the Stratton field at 2:30 tomorrow to cheer on the participants!
If you would like to see examples from last year's posters, please look at the Blog Archives on June 2, 2017.
Stratton School will have our annual field day on June 18th. Our class is the Red team! Please have your child wear red on this day. Go team Red!
