What an amazing day at Habitat in Belmont! We all learned so much about plants and animals in Massachusetts.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the children worked in partners to create towers as part of our Solids and Liquids unit. The girls and boys determined which objects (and their properties) would make a successful base and top of the tower. The goal was to build at least a 45 centimeter tower that could be sturdy enough to withstand wind (a fan). The children created multiple designs, and learned from their peers during the designing and implementation stages. This was cool! I love field trips!! I have updated our "Field Trips" page.
Below you will find information for our upcoming trips! (I will send home the permission slips for the Habitat field trip on Monday or Tuesday.) We greatly appreciate having parents join us on our trips. The Parent Chaperone sign-up form for the Habitat trip will be included on your child's permission slip.
