Many thanks to Iris Peterson and Melissa Orkin for joining us to make the fall lanterns. They provided the materials and taught the children to make the beautiful lanterns that went home today! We had so much fun making them! Photo Credit: Iris Peterson Please sign-up for a parent/teacher conference. I am happy to schedule a different day/time if needed. Please email me for a time that works best for you.
Today was our first day of our Geometry unit. This is such an exciting and hands-on unit. I can already tell that the children have a great geometry foundation from their first grade teachers. We will continue to extend their learning! Today we talked about the similarities and differences of 2-D and 3-D shapes. We looked at the number of faces on geoblocks. We finished our lesson with the children drawing geoblocks.
