Hi All,
I hope you are having a great start to your vacation.
I wanted to post a link to purchase tickets to meet “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” author Jeff Kinney on Saturday, January 23rd at 2:30 at Blue Bunny Books and Toys shop in Dedham.  Tickets were released last night and I heard they are almost sold out.  I will be attending with my family. http://www.bluebunnybooks.com/shop/meetjeffkinney

I wanted to thank our amazing chaperones who joined us at the Museum of Science.  I know that this is such a busy time of the year and I appreciate you taking the time to join us.  Many thanks to; Cara Daniels, Michelle Messuri, Santhi George, Carol Ann Mendez, and Aaron Saunders. (I will post photos on our blog later today!)  The trip was amazing!  I learned so much with the children.

I would like to extend my appreciation to Shelley Chhabra for creating the snowman craft with the boys and girls on Tuesday.  These were just so cute!  The children greatly enjoyed making them.  Thanks for joining us in class!

Have a wonderful vacation!  See you on January 4th!

Best,
Julie Barth

We have explored a variety of “particles”.  Some of the ideas we have learned;
Solid material can occur as masses of small particles.
Masses of particulate matter can pour.
Particulate solids can be separated by size (with screens).
The surface of a mass of particles is not flat and level.

Many thanks to our amazing Stratton community for their support with the Giving Tree Project.  Our class raised over $300!  The money raised allowed us to buy presents for needy children in Arlington.  It was great having families join us to go shopping for presents and to meet up for pizza!  Today the children wrapped the presents!  Way to go!
