On Wednesday and Thursday, the children worked in partners to create towers as part of our Solids and Liquids unit. The girls and boys determined which objects (and their properties) would make a successful base and top of the tower. The goal was to build at least a 45 centimeter tower that could be sturdy enough to withstand wind (a fan). The children created multiple designs, and learned from their peers during the designing and implementation stages. This was cool!
