Entrance and Dismissal
Start of the School Day
End of the School Day
- The students should all line up by our class sign outside on the playground weather permitting. If it is raining or snowing, 3rd graders will enter through the last set of Pheasant Street doors and line up in the lower gym. Please do not walk through the building to get to the lower gym if possible.
- The first bell rings at 8:10 a.m. Students should enter the building with the class unless there are special circumstances previously arranged with the teacher.
- Please do not enter the building to hang up belongings before the bell.
- We are always happy to meet with parents should there be a question or concern. Please contact us to set up a time that is convenient for you.
End of the School Day
- The dismissal bell rings at 2:10 p.m. For the first several days of school, we will walk the class out the Pheasant Street doors and bring them to the playground to meet their parents. We will not leave your child until we know they have found the adult they are going home with. If your child is going home with someone other than a parent, please let us know.
- After the first several days of school, 3rd graders will be dismissed out the Pheasant Street doors on their own after the bell rings. Please set up a meeting place where your child will know to meet you.
Walking Home from School I See:
A bus with a flat tire.
Pennies in a puddle.
Baby birds.
Fat worms.
A pair of pigeons.
A crooked gate.
A mailbox spray-painted pink.
A bulldog wearing a raincoat.
A bumblebee.
A reflection
in a window-
me!
